Okay so I’m reading about this new Blog application floating around. it’s called Whoopra.
So, I check it out, looks pretty darn cool. So…. I go sign up, cool, I go to add my website and what do I see?
This:
You can click on the picture to make it bigger.
In case you cannot make that out, it says, “Only Invited Members are allowed to add websites”
Seriously people! If you are going to a show and get interviewed by a big time tech blogger and promote your product. At least have enough BRAIN POWER to remove the invite only restriction from that Freakin’ Website! HELLO?!?!?! ![]()
My. gott. are people like not with it.
Update: Hey, This Guy Agrees with me!
Update 2: In fairness to John, who has been working with the people are making whoopra. They were caught off guard, by the publicity. But I think someone somewhere, should have made it clear, (maybe the woman, who did the article?) that it was limited beta and not for public consumption just yet. Just a thought.

Chuck,
You may not be aware, but I was one of the two organizers of the WordCamp Dallas event this weekend. Although Woopra is in very close to finished format, it is in limited beta release. I handed out invitations only to the people at WordCamp, with no intention to go beyond that at this time.
Cali was one of the speakers we invited, and after she and Neil took at look at Woopra they wanted to do an interview with me, so I did. We are thrilled at the positive exposure, but were not so egotistical as to be expecting it.
So, while I would agree that people sometimes do stupid things… sometimes they also just get caught off guard.

Okay fair enough.
I was not aware that you didn’t know that your site had not gotten the publicity.
The way the Blogs were talking like it was pretty much ready to go.
