About Chuck

MCM_1207-croppedHello, my name is Chuck.  When I was younger I used to have my own sites that were running on my own servers.  I kept a digital diary (inspired by Doogie Howser).  I used to love being able to look back on different times of my life and remember how I was thinking and feeling at the time.  Unfortunately, the site died when one of the workstations on my network got infected years ago.  I thought about remaking the site, but MySpace, and then Facebook, became popular so I decided I didn’t need to worry about it.   Unfortunately, it can be annoying for my friends when I’m posting every detail of my day for the world to see.   So, after many heavily detailed posts (that greatly exceed the standard Facebook type post) my wife suggested I create a site here (actually, she’s been suggesting it for years).

Generally, I would shrug off this good suggestion and just post away – sometimes multiple pages.

However, I want to start posting long details again so that later I’ll be able to look back as I had once enjoyed.

So, if you have any interest in learning more about me and where I go from here – please read on.  If you really don’t care, then neither do I .  Again, this is intended to just be my little corner of the web to do what I want.

General Information:

I have a wife and two kids.  I work in the IT field.  I’ve recently became interested in getting more healthy, even though for now I still smoke, drink soda, and like McDonald’s (will work on that at a later date).  I also love poker.

Movie preferences:

I LOVE girly movies.  Mostly, because they seem to have multi-level plots whereas action films usually have very flat plots.  I’m also a geek and love SciFi movies.

I’ve always known how to read, but I only in the last 10 years or so started reading non-tech manual related books.  I am very particular about the writing styles of the books I choose to read.  If they don’t follow a format that flows very smoothly, then the words start to move around the page on me.

I’ll probably put more in here in the future, but for now, I think that’s enough.
